International Awareness & Involvement

The Brunswick Alumnae Chapter strives to increase international awareness and promotes participation and education of global issues. The International Awareness and Involvement Committee is dedicated to developing community programs designed to provide assistance, relief and resources to developing countries; as well as fostering local advocacy for social injustices and increase knowledge related to HIV/AIDS (International Day of Service, World AIDS Day). The chapter’s commitment to organizing change and encouraging cultural awareness is proudly demonstrated by its current initiatives and past projects. Additionally, the
chapter has provided financial support for supplies, educational scholarships, and operations to various IAI initiatives in Africa.

Through the International Awareness and Involvement programmatic thrust, Delta Sigma Theta harnesses its vast potential to impact strategically the plight of people living across the diaspora.
